Jon Fine Sports Productions

SportsGumbo Radio is produced by Jon Fine Sports Productions.  We not only host the program, but are responsible for its features, interviews, the promotion of the show, and most importantly, the marketing (advertising sales) of SportGumbo Radio.  SportsGumbo.Net, this Web site, is also a Jon Fine Sports Production...We haven't designed it, but are paying for it!

We also host and produce Denham Springs HS football and basketball broadcasts, THE High School Sports Show and Internet broadcasts of Central HS, Denham Springs HS, and Sulphur HS football games on SportsGumbo.net (this site). For the last 3 years we've broadcast at least 8 hours live from the (LSU) Bayou Bash. In year's past, we have been involved in:  bus trips to away LSU football games, an LSU pre-game football radio show, an LSU post-game basketball radio show, Walker HS and Live Oak HS sports broadcasts, CO-produced (with Ron Castille) the Calcasieu River Big Bass Bonanza fishing tournament, CO-promoted a baseball card show, printed a newsletter, did Wheelchair Basketball radio broadcasts and Baton Rouge Community College baseball on radio.

Charitable endeavors we've been involved with have included raising $10,000 for The American Red Cross Katrina & Rita relief, generating over $2,500 for the schools we cover on THE High School Sports Show via THE High School Sports Show Weight Loss Challenge and promoting Wes Watts rideathon for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at Winetari Lakes.  Our all-time favorite promotion was Morris Family Reunion Night.

Jon Fine Sports Productions was founded in 1987 in Lake Charles LA.  We've been in Baton Rouge since 1991 and The River Parishes/Baton Rouge since October 2006.  It has been an eventful existence!  For more of the sordid details of Jon Fine Sports Productions, please visit our Show History page.
