HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RADIO BROADCASTS: Jon Fine Sports Productions will be producing 3 high school football radio broadcasts in the greater Baton Rouge area. We are hoping to be on SportsGumbo.net, too, but are still working through logistical details.
Denham Springs HS Football broadcasts will air on The Score, 1210AM, BR. First broadcast is tonight, Thursday, 8/26, as the Jackets face Donaldsonville HS in the Ascension-Livingston Jamboree at East Ascension HS. First regular season broadcast is Friday, September 3, when the Jackets play host to Broadmoor HS. All broadcasts start at 6:02pm. Jon Fine (pbp), Jim McChristian (color) and Chris Gordy (sideline reporter/statistician) form the broadcasting team.
Central HS Football broadcasts will air on WPFC, 1550AM, Baton Rouge. First broadcast is Friday, September 3, when the Wildcats visit Port Allen HS. All broadcasts start at 6:00pm. Josh Ward (pbp), Scott Osborne (color) and Victoria Eskola (sideline reporter) are your Wildcats announcers.
Episcopal HS Football broadcasts will air on WXOK, 1460AM, Baton Rouge. First broadcast is Friday, September 3, when the Knights play host to De LaSalle HS. This broadcast starts at 6:30pm. All EHS broadcasts start 30 minutes before kickoff. Your Knights announcing team is Chris Ledoux (pbp) and Emmett Boudreaux (color).
Sulphur HS Football will be carried on SportsRadio-1310-KEZM-Lake Charles (not a Jon Fine Sports Production). Broadcasts start about 15 minutes prior to kickoff. Bruce Merchant (pbp), Clopha Boudreaux (color) and Rick Delrie (half-time) are your Golden Tors crew. We hope to carry these broadcasts on the Internet at SportsGumbo.net. The first Sulphur HS radio broadcast is this Friday night. It is questionable as to whether we’ll be able to carry this game on the Net, but we hope to be in business the following Friday.
