Has brought some FM cred throughout the years to the
Jon Fine Sports Production (dysfunctional) family, as Rick was a
long-time Baton Rouge radio personality on a number of stations, most
recently 96.1, The River and 102.5, WFMF in Baton Rouge…Knows
Jon from Jon’s old days at former River sister
station, Christian Country, 1210 AM. Surprisingly still decided to
partner up with Jon on Internet broadcasts on the late SportsGumbo.net
Broadcasting Network…Rick and Jon almost killed each other 10 times in
their partnership, but still remain good friends (probably because
partnership and network has subsided)…was on the air in South Louisiana
from 1977-2009. Handled hundreds of remote broadcasts in that time (and
thousands of ladies, who have since become remote to Rick?)…Greatest
claim to broadcasting fame might be being longtime featured voice on
most Jon Fine Sports Productions programming opening and closing
buffers. That’s what Jon says anyhow…1980 Istrouma HS graduate; was
part of Istrouma HS football dynasty—as P.A. announcer for JV
games…While in high school, Rick also produced “The High School Game of
The Week” on radio, with announcers Tim Brando and Kent Lowe…Teaches
broadcasting…Completed the computer industry’s A+ program…Only regret is
that with this vast computer expertise, he now has to suffer through
Jon’s rampant whining about his computer problems when fixing Jon’s
computer…Before moving, might have been Livingston Parish’s most
eligible bachelor…Eligible for what, we’re not sure…Perhaps misery,
since working with Jon!
